These are the rules so please follow them. There is also something in here you may need for the application so keep an eye out for it. We have a three strike rule here. If you disobey the rules once, then you will receive a warning of what you have done wrong. If you do this again your posts will be locked for three days and you will receive a PM explaining as to why this is. If you continue to disobey, well then you will be deleted simple as. Please keep this in mind.

1) After you have registered and activated your account, you will have one week to complete your character applications.
Register new accounts for each of your characters.
2) All character applications are to be posted in the pending section. Members can have two canons and two originals character, no more than this unless you can prove you can handle more posting. Please post your app as LAST NAME, First name in your subject title. Also No Mary Sue's or Gary Stu's either please, Everyone has flaws and let's leave it that way. Even Klaus can be killed ya know!
3) No copy and pasting from wiki, we prefer your own words so we know that you are capable of playing that canon character.
4) Wait for your applications to be accepted, two members of staff will view your work and will discuss it in depth.
5) Once your app has been accepted you then claim your face and other necessary things for your characters.
6) Once your claims are done you are free to post at your own leisure. One post per character, per week no exceptions unless otherwise stated!
7) Keep language, sexual references and other content to an absolute minimum this is a pg 13 forum.
8) Templates are used here, if you don't have one or don't know how to use these. That is fine, we prefer quality of wording over pretty and flashy, but would like to point out that we like to see posts aligned and the correct usage of paragraphs to separate between actions, speech and context please.
9) When posting, either using templates or not, please be sure to just use one image or animated gif in the thread you are in. There is no need to keep changing the image or animated gif for the one thread, one type is enough for each post in the one thread. Also make sure that the image or animated gif does not stretch the page or is too big.
10) Signatures and avatars, signatures are to be no more than 400 pixels wide, and no larger than 250 pixels height. This is so we don't stretch the forum. And avatars are to be no wider than 150 and 200 in height.
11) We would like a minimum of 250 words per post please, sometimes this isn't always that easy to achieve but this is an intermediate to advanced forum and it is expected of everyone.
12) Please don't post unfinished posts. If you are unable to finish a post at the time you are on, please feel free to save it as a pm to yourself, or save it elsewhere. It looks bad when you have only part of a post to a thread.
13) If you join and then don't get an app up and working on after three days you will be deleted. Please keep this in mind. Joining and then ditching is way more than a little lame.
14) RESPECT. It's not hard. Most of all, respect your staff members. We are here for a reason and if we feel like you are not respecting other members or staff members you will get your first warning. I don't care how long a person has been staff or a member on here, respect needs to be given.
15) No fighting or arguing etc in the cbox. Seriously we don't want to see it. Got a problem with a member or even a staff member? PM someone. Preferably the admin (lauren) and she will take care of it and get to the bottom of it. If you are found arguing badly etc in the cbox, guess what? Ban for a few days.
16) Deaths, turning, pregnancies? Well you gotta run it by the staff team. For example, no way is a hunter being turned into a vampire. No way is major canon getting killed off. Got it? Anyone getting pregnant, turned into another species or killed off has to be run by a staff member where all staff members will discuss it!
17) No god modding. NONE. If I see it the post will be locked period, the end. Unless it's small amounts in fight scenes etc then we can allow it.
18) Ok we all want the all powerful characters. I get it trust me! However it just doesn't work that way! You can have one superior character, which means one of your characters can be awesomely powerful. For example I have Elena, Sookie and Castiel. Castiel is my all powerful character. Got it? Awesome. Anyone trying to make their character be all powerful is going to get denied if they have one already.
19) We really don't want to be seeing spoilers around this place. If you have the need to discuss one of the shows within the website, put it into a thread and clearly mark Spoilers at the start of the title. There will be no warning for this, if we see if in the cbox, you will be banned for 24 hours from the cbox.
20) Please read all claim... especially the shipper claim. If people have plots ready for characters and you want to join in, please PM one or even both of the those people and ask for permission. Please don't just go butting in. It's rude and inconsiderate.
21) Have fun! This place is an escape where we treat each other like family. Let's keep it that way yeah?
