A long time ago in a land filled with mystery and magic there was a kingdom. This kingdom was ruled by a great king who got himself into quite a bit of trouble and who one day lost all of his kingdom's riches. Instead of coming clean to his country the King sought out a sorceress for help. The sorceress agreed to give him all the riches in all the land only if he would give her his two daughters.
The oldest was to become a bride for her son, a wicked man who like his mother was obsessed with ruling a country and the youngest would become her apprentice and learn the trade of magic. The King readily agreed. The daughters, 21 and 16 soon found themselves sold off to others, in one way or another.
Within two weeks the sorceress and her son quickly moved into the castle and the youngest daughter found herself learning the dark trade of sorcery. Things were fine and well until the sorceress caught word that the eldest daughter had fallen in love with none other than a lowly guard and was running away with him to be married.
In a rage the sorceress brewed the most vile curse she had ever created. She created a curse that would ensure the eldest princess would marry her son and her son would rule....even if it wasn't a country or kindom. She created a curse that sent the kingdom to their own little town, in a time far, far, away from their own. She transported everyone to this new town in our modern age and wiped their memories clean excluding her own and her son's. She made sure to leave the guard in the past to suffer with the pain of losing the princess forever.
The little town she created is growing, there are members from the present as well as members from the past who have no idea who they are or where they are from ( or what some are capable of). She is currently the richest woman in town and her son is engaged to the mayor's daughter. The mayor has spoken of not running in the next election and her son will soon be the new mayor with marriage of the young couple and the blessing of the old mayor. The sorceress kept the youngest daughter as her own and only she and her son know the truth. Things are finally falling into place.
But fate tends to find a way.....
The guard began searching for a way to undue the curse the second it happened and months upon months of searching had finally led him to one of the only survivors of the sorceress' curse...a powerful sorcerer. He saw the curse coming and shielded himself from it. Having his own reasons to want to find those taken he agreed to help the guard and together they created a way back, but only to get them there.
They are soon on their way, but have no idea what's in store for them and that no one remembers who they are except for the ones who want to end them.
