Okay so since season 5 has officially finished for us here in Australia, and in America and the UK, I thought I would start this and see what everyone's thoughts were on the season.
I quite enjoyed the whole season to be honest. The first half was mostly revolved around Katherine and the whole travellers situation. Then once that was done away with, they then moved onto having to bring the doppelgangers together to collect their blood for a ritual to get rid of their need to just stick to one place. Then during this time the other side is tearing apart, which is not looking good to anyone that resides there.
The second last episode was so sad, but the last episode had me crying to much. The first time I think I did start to well up was just after halfway through the episode, but it came in bucket loads as Damon spoke to Elena who realised that she would never seem him again. Just knowing that she was there alone, but not alone as Damon was there in spirit was just so sad. The way that he said 'baby' in one line he said was just heartbreaking! But what got me the most was how you never got to hear Damon finish his sentence. The way that it was drastically cut off just got me and I just sat at the computer and cried my eyes out. It was that bad. I haven't cried that much in an episode since the season 4 episode of Glee.
I want to rewatch it but I don't want to because I will end up being a blubbering mess.
Anyway....
For season 6 we have to find out what happened to Damon and Bonnie, and see if they are able to get back to the land of the living... or will they just be spirits hanging around Mystic Falls? Also I'm not looking forward to the first episode as I guess they will just show them saying goodbye to their friends and lovers... it's got to be so hard for Jeremy as well losing Bonnie like he did.
