Born in Segesvar in 1440, Erik's childhood and teenage years are up to you. By the time he hit 17 he was recruited into the army of Vlad the Impaler and moved up the ranks becoming the head of his guard in 1460. How he got here etc is up to you. If you need history on Vlad please check out the wiki history here. In November of 1476, Erik was turn into a vampire due to Vlad's obsession with the creatures. Erik blamed the man for this. In January 1477, Erik killed Vlad, making it look like an accident on the field of battle, bringing to an end Vlad's reign of terror and freeing himself to live his new life as a vampire.
he moved around for years and over these years he formed a vampire group, a gang, him plus six other vampires who hired themselves out to be killers, an elite group. They made a name for themselves. Again this part of the history is up to you how it all happened.
From 1547 until 1556, Erik and his vampire gang were recruited by Ivan the terrible, an ancestor of Anastasia Romanova 's family. In 1556, afer Ivan couquered Siberia, he saw the others in his court and military were turning on him due to Erik's group and their methods. He exposed Erik for what he was and had him banished to the crypt dungeons. This is were Erik spent the next 100 years. In 1656, he was broken out thanks to his group and vowed to get his revenge one way or another.
Over the next few hundred years, again it's up to you what happened. He was the leader of his group and would have caused chaos and destruction where ever he went, taking time to lay low when they needed to.
In 1900, Erik met Yakov Yurovsky who saw that Erik wanted revenge on the Romanov family. in 1918 they joined with certain government teams and they attacked and killed the Romanov family. Erik and his group saw this as a huge victory. For this era, please check out Anastasia Romanova 's profile here. The group decided to take a break, and go their separate ways for a while. A new world was being born and they wanted to enjoy it.
Since 1920, Erik has lost touch with 4 out of the 6 other group members. He has recently discovered this is because they have been killed. He doesn't know for sure it's Ana, a survivor from the Romanov family, however he has his suspicions due to the speculation that Anastasia Romanova survived the attack...
Erik is also connected to another character, Michael. He recruited Michael recently, however he's had his eyes on the asset for a while. Wanting Michael for his werewolf genes, Erik killed Michael's family, an act which Michael is unaware that Erik was behind. Erik heard that soon Michael became a hybrid of Klaus... and his favourite worker was ready to be used to kill Ana (something Michael is unaware of).
