LET THE WORDS FALL OUT, HONESTLY

Sarah had known right from the start how much trouble the two small towns were going to be. However she was following the lead on a werewolf that had been seen around these parts. Tonight was the full moon which meant she had no doubt there was more than one out here. She knew enough about werewolves to know their moves. Of every supernatural creature, this is the only one she had no forgiveness for. Not after what they had done to her own family. It was because of wolves that her own father had never been the same again, that she had become a hunter in the first place. Her bow was strung across her back, her hand have the coverings they needed and her quiver was also strapped onto her back. She kept her hands free for now. She also of course had a few daggers and a gun on her, there was no way she would be coming unprepared. The woods were quiet, nothing but the sounds of birds and crickets, Being so close to mid summer the heat was very intense. She still wore jeans and her leather jacket though, they were the only thing to protect her from revealing all the weapons she had strapped on. Narrowing her eyes she glanced around but still didn't see anything. Maybe she had been misinformed, there were no sounds of a wolf and there was no way of knowing if there was anything out here besides the usual animals.
Walking further into the woods she thought about her reunion with Carla. There had been so much news to tell. Especially as the topic of boys had been brought up. That wasn't a usual discussion and Sarah didn't get the chance to have much of a love life considering her line of work. She didn't mind though, she knew that to care for someone meant they could end up in peril. If Carla hadn't already been brought up in this type of world then she would have distanced herself from her best friend as well. But luckily it had never come to that. Sarah didn't think she would have survived all this time without her. Hearing a noise it snapped her to attention and she pulled her bow from over her shoulder and notched an arrow. She didn't pull it tight just yet, but had it at the ready. Hearing something again she made the shot but changed it's direction at the last second. She was over-reacting to the normal wildlife in the woods. It couldn't be helped. She was strung out tight and werewolves had always made her jumpy, it was the one supernatural creature she probably shouldn't be going after and yet she would never turn down the opportunity to ensure that those creatures were taken down. Walking the few feet distance to retrieve her arrow she found it in a tree trunk. Pulling it free wasn't easy and the head of the arrow got left behind which was fine, she used barbed arrows for that reason. They were always covered in both wolfs bane and vervain. There was no vampire nor werewolf that would be escaping that.
Putting the arrow onto the other side of her quiver so she didn't pull it out in a hurry she kept walking. There was a small trail that she couldn't discern. Too many fallen leaves around. However the twigs were snapped and she was a good tracker. She followed the footsteps using theirs as cover for her own. She would track whoever or whatever this was untill she knew for sure if it was or wasn't what she was hunting. Making sure she had an arrow at the ready she followed the trail. She heard something up ahead and pulled her bow string taut with the arrow waiting to fly. She couldn't see anything but could hear the footsteps. They sounded like a large animal. She didn't want to release the arrow without getting a sighting of what she was aiming at. Moving off of that things trail she skirted around the edges daring not to make a sound. She could see a clearing up ahead but whoever had been there had moved on. She frowned and jumped out into the open crouching, keeping low was the way to do it. The woods was coming to an end soon but this small clearing had one large tree. She crept towards it, using it as coverage. However soon the cracking of sticks brought her attention round. As she snapped her head around her body followed suit. She had an arrow about to let loose and just as she did she saw her target was human. Luckily she had good reactions, there was no stopping the arrow but she changed it's direction at the last second but tilting her hand a little. "I could have killed you! What are you doing out here?" She asked abruptly to the father tall male standing in front of her.
