she's sunday drive meets high speed chase 604 words .. kara .. clothes ‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗ Benjamin had been doing a lot of thinking over the last handful of weeks. He had been thinking about his life, about his future, and Kara interweaving in these thoughts as well. The shape shifter hadn't thought about any woman like this before. Maybe he had, but those relationships seemed to never last as long as this one had with Kara. She was not like any woman he had ever dated before. It was like she was a mix of so many things that drew him to her. Kara was strong, smart, funny, and gorgeous. She had a good head on her shoulders, and had a steady job. Being with her for a year, Ben had learned a lot from her, and learned how to live life away from his work. He had been able to just let go and be himself with her, which was something that he embraced over anything else. Benjamin was definitely a better man for being in her presence. Thinking about his life more and more, he couldn't see it without Kara now. Ben knew that his heart would literally break if she ever left him. He wasn't being a girl about it, that was something he always wanted to make clear with his conscious. He knew that his life would be over if she ever walked out of that door, that was for certain. In a way Kara completed him as a human being, as a shape shifter. Thinking about what he was, as he sat on the park bench in the park near where he lived, Ben knew that he had to be open with her about what he was. Though, he also hoped that that would not change what he was wanting to ask her. It made him sick to his stomach if that mention of what he was would change his world that revolved around the woman he loved with all of his heart. Sitting on that park bench, in a suit that he hadn't worn in such a long time, until now, he looked up in front of him. His hands held onto the bouquet of red and white flowers that he had ordered three days ago, slowly glancing down at them. Ben hoped that he had picked the right flowers for this 'special date', and hope that they wouldn't be thrown into his direction after what he was going to say to her. Sometimes he thought the worst, but it was only right. Ben always feared living a life alone with no one by his side. He had so much to offer a woman, and now he thought he was going to be alone after this date. "Stop it, Benjamin. You are good enough for this woman," he told himself. He had to be a grown up about this and stop doubting himself. Benjamin pulled out his phone to see what time it was, despite wearing a watch. There were still a couple of minutes till he had told Kara to meet him in the park, right under the tree that they tended to sit under when she was up in his neck of the woods. Ben also told her to wear something nice, and to follow the note that he left, hoping that she would get the clue of where to meet him. Yes, he had left a clue rather than an actual note of exactly where to meet him. He was probably crazy for doing that, but Ben wanted to make this whole evening special from start to finish. Fingers crossed that it would all end well in Atlanta, Georgia tonight. ‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗ she ain't just a song she's the whole mix tape |
