The year is 2026 and the wizarding world has been enjoying peace. There has been peace since the Battle of Hogwarts and the defeat of Lord Voldemort. A lot has changed in the past several years since then. New lives, new families, new blood and new jobs. The Golden Trio is not an exception to this. They have started families of their own. Harry Potter and Ron Weasley are working at the Auror Office with Harry being the Head Auror. Hermione Weasley is making sure that the lives of creatures such as house elves are improving in the Magical Law Department. And Ginny Potter had long since retired from playing Qudditch to focus on raising her children. Their classmates had also settled down with new jobs and families to raise. Their children have been leaving their own marks on Hogwarts. Everyone knows that peace doesn't last this long in the wizarding world.
A series of unexplained murders started taking place two summers ago in a muggle village. The murders had clearly shown signs that wizards were involved. During the height of the killings a year ago, Death Eaters have broken out of Azkaban. Their motive? Revenge. Revenge for Lord Voldemort, revenge for the purebloods, revenge for their life sentence in the wizarding prison. Their targets? Harry Potter and company, halfbloods, muggleborns, and anyone that is not of the pureblood society. Everyone is taking precautions as talks of a third wizarding war is waltzing through the air. At Hogwarts it is no difference. James and Lily Potter had started up Dumbledore's Army again. The Slytherins have formed a counter group, the 'Mortis Varator.' In Latin the phrase literally means 'Death Eaters'. The halls of Hogwarts are being divided. Students are being set up against one another simply because of their blood status. Outside the school the Order has reformed and is intent to put a stop to the ascending chaos before it's too late. In these times, one can't help but to stop and wander what else is Lurking Amongst the Shadows?
